I have been covid positive for 17 days now. i feel slightly breathless.. can this breathlessness get worse or am i on the road to recovery?

You could still get worse before you get better. If you are feeling short of breath, you need to have your oxygen levels closely monitored over the next few days until it is clear which side of the illness you are - the getting better side or the getting worse side. Please be evaluated....

The symptom duration is variable and the recovery period may be prolonged. If you begin to have less fatigue, no fever or cough, the initial viral infection has most likely cleared. If you have persistent shortness of breath, cardiac and pulmonary consequences of COVID 19 should also be considered. Please follow up with your PCP or Healthtap for an evaluation of this symptom.
