Separate issues: You may have bacterial infection of the tonsils and it is imperative to rule out streptococcal infection. See your doctor or go to the emergency department of a nearby hospital as you may need a prescription if it is streptococcal tonsilitis. Wish you good health!

COVID 19 infection: Residual shortness of breath is common after a COVID 19 infection. You could have a secondary infection or as stated earlier- a new infection which has nothing to do with COVID 19.
