A member asked:

Is a spitz nevus capable of blanching and looking like a flat, pink-red hive shape (and a yellow-scar like colour when pressed) rather than a nodule or mole appearance? is there any significant ways to help distinguish between other lesions?

If you definitely have a Spitz nevus, it should be evaluated by a dermatologist. If there is some signs of irregularity within the lesion or symptoms @ the lesion, it might be removed/biopsied. Most Spitz nevi are benign, but you should have it examined by a dermatologist to be certain as to its overall nature.
