Officially, CDC and many other experts advise against mixing vaccine types. However, research has shown no increased risk of side effects and probably equal effectiveness when people get both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. And several other countries' public health experts say it's OK. But to be maximally protected, you still should get a second dose of one vaccine or the other.
