A member asked:

What does it mean on a flow cytometry when it says the below? does cd22 eliminate the possibility of leukemia? leuk/lymph, number of markers 22 leuk/lymph, specimen type peripheral blood leuk/lymph, viability 92 ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, CD 22 is one of the markers on normal lymphocytes and by itself does not diagnose or exclude leukemia. Wish you good health!
