You should call your doctor and ask. If this medication was not prescribed for you, you should not take it unless your doctor says it’s ok. This medication has many side effects, including respiratory suppression, especially if taken with other meds with that same side effect. So, do not take this medication unless your doctor agrees that it is ok for you to take it. Good luck to you!
