A 39-year-old female asked about a female:
My 8 yr old is unable to walk properly looks like pelvic tilt. mri and xray, blood reports normal except one line. 'moderate right hip effusion and small area of supra foveal femoral head subchondral marrow edema' is this symptom of chondrolysis hip?

Although he's a little young for it, the MRI findings are consistent with slipped capital femoral epiphysis which can lead to chondrolysis.and avascular necrosis of the head of the femur. This condition usually occurs in adolescents. An orthopedic specialist with experience in SCFE should be consulted.
