A member asked:

What are white matter hyperintensities?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Describes MRI of brain imaging findings. The white matter of the brain has areas of intense spots which stand out. These tend, in most cases, to be nonspecific and non diagnostic, but not always, and could be associated with neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis.
