Cat dander can live in the carpeting, curtains and and even the porous wall paint in any place where there has been a cat. A thorough cleaning of the walls, washing the curtains, and steam cleaning the carpets and floors may help to greatly reduce the dander. There are also specific cleaners meant to bind to cat dander which can help.
