Depends on Dx: If your husband has been diagnosed with age related macular degeneration, then if his is moderately advanced, taking an areds2 formulation (ocuvite, icaps, preservision) reduced the rate of advanced amd in people at high risk by about 25 percent over a 6-year period. Otherwise, taking this formula will not prevent developing or cure macular degeneration.
