I am 6 weeks pregnant with my second baby & i feel stabbing pain on my left upper buttock area. i usually feel this pain when i lay down & when i stand still. could it be sign of ectopic?

Sometimes positional change "lying down or standing up" after lying down or sitting, even at "six weeks of pregnancy" can create pressure on the sciatic nerve, which can produce left upper buttock pain. If no bleeding has occurred, the chances for an ectopic pregnancy are low, but if symptoms or bleeding persist, see your OB physician for an exam and other testing.
