It depends on what is causing the pericarditis. And there are many causes of pericarditis. Never treat blindly.

Pericarditis is treated based on etiology or known cause. Some cases benefit from NSAIDs, others from a combination and/or Colchicine only, while others may need even surgery. Talk to your cardiologist about your options based on your current condition details.
