I was extremely ill, in 2018- pre-covid days. classical flu symptoms, but tested negative for the flu.i was never that sick before i was curious if you would have any thought of what it could have been? also did not seem too contagious,but isolated?

The flu like symptoms may be caused by a number of respiratory viruses. You may have had viral pneumonia. The test accuracy for influenza is not 100 percent. If you have respiratory symptoms, an imaging study is recommended.
