A member asked:

Respected doctor(s), if rls is caused due to any secondary reasons, will dopamine agonists respond & provide relief in that case ? or da positive response only noted in primary/idiopathic rls ??

A doctor has provided 1 answer

A problem with iron metabolism, with an abnormal ferritin level can be treated and reversed, but if this alone does not stop the RLS, a dopamine agonist would likely help. You can have your doctor screen you for any potential reversible problems.
