As a parent, it is important to set boundaries/ limits for our children. If a child is playing too many video games, they are not spending time doing healthy things like exercise, hanging out with friends, etc. You must set a time limit on how much video gaming she can do. Try turning off the wifi, or removing the gaming unit from her room. Insist that she spend time exercising or with friends.

Screen time was an issue before coronavirus quarantine. In quarantine children spent increasing hours playing with their computers, and had less and less outdoor time. Bring your child to outdoor family activities away from Wi-Fi. Spend time with her out of doors. Hiking, swimming, parks and zoos come to mind. Asking her to stop voluntarily is unlikely to be successful.
