The left sided headache symptoms described could be due to a number of conditions of which Migraine or left sided Trigeminal neuralgia seem prominent. The PCP can help but one may need to see the Neurologist as well.

A focal headache of this sort could represent migraine, but also focal jaw or dental problems, left sided neck or sinus issues, and this is best approached by a visit to you doctor to sort this out. As mentioned, a neurologist may be a helpful consultant.
