My son is recovering from a double kidney infection his wbc reach over 36,000 they saw fluid around his kidneys on an ultrasound what can i expect to hear?

At that age with those findings I would expect them to treat the infection for now and do some follow-up testing later. That would include a repeat urine culture and sensitivities at minimum. They will likely wait for a while and do s study looking for bladder reflux up to his kidneys. (VCUG) after the system has recovered.
