Are you taking Aspirin? Advil or Ibuprofen? All these can lower the platelet levels. So can other meds, so would need to know what else you're taking. Platelet counts vary quite a bit day to day, and could be due to recent bleeding or even a viral infection. If all these have been ruled out, do an absolute platelet count, if still low, may need a bone marrow biopsy.

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your count is slightly low but there is no risk of bleeding. You may get tested in 6 months to ensure that the count is stable. Wish you good health!
