A member asked:

In double vision, monocular is when closing the bad eye gets rid of the dv, and binocular is when closing either eye gets rid of the dv. but what if it stays in both eyes no matter what which one you close? is there a word for that?

If there is doubling in either eye alone, then there is most likely a structural or refractive problem which needs attention and correction if possible. At your age refraction such as higher astigmatism is most likely. Best to see your ophthalmologist to discover the cause and correct it which seems likely.
