There are a couple of types of horizontal white lines on nails. One type is seen with protein deficiency states and the other type isn't serious. I think a dermatologist or a podiatrist could determine whether your toenail finding is important or not.

Hello. I had ingrown surgery on my left big toenail about 7 years ago. I've noticed that the outside part of the nail is buckling or curving to the outside. It makes up almost a quarter of the nail. Also some horizontal ridges. What could this mean?
