Hi, had hiv-1 rna pcr @ 5 weeks & 5 months. and hiv ag/ab duo at 1, 2, 4 & 6 months. do i need further testing for hiv or do i need hiv-2 pcr or did the duo rule it out?, or is it too rare to worry about in mi? i leave in novi, mi. thank you

HIV: Assuming what you have described is accurate, you do not have HIV infection and do not need further testing unless there have been subsequent exposures. Good luck and be careful out there.

I have taken 3 HIV test. 2 of them were 4th gen Duo test done at 25 and 42 days after exposure. I also took a HIV RNA PCR at 5 weeks post exposure. All of these test were negative. Is there a need to continue testing ? No new exposures?
