?: According to the most up to date research, once tx'ed, lyme disease is no longer present. However, it is possible that if it wasn't treated, he could have other chronic problems. First, make sure he was treated with appropriate antibiotics and for the right amount of time. Second, if treated right, sometimes, people can have autoimmune reactions related to the lyme disease. Talk to his doc.
