The HRV is a measurement of the time interval between heart beats and is measured in milliseconds. The average value varies with age&sex but for men the average is about 40. The higher the number, the more fit you are as a rule &,it is felt, the better you handle stress. I don't think I would obsess about this metric unless I was a world class athlete. Others may disagree.
