Normal is variable between the labs but usually less than 12. At 14.3, one will have to look for differential count to see what is the cause of mild leukocytosis. I will call it elevated white count, repeat in 4-14 hours., hope it helps.

Leukocytosis is common, many times seen in infections, some other times reactive, even drugs such as steroids causing it. It can only be interpreted in clinical context otherwise.

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, your count is mildly elevated. If you have an infection, treatment of the infection should resolve it. Wish you good health!
