Will a ct with contrast detect vesicoureteral reflux in adults? if not, are there any other investigations you would recommend that i can discuss with my doctor?

CT with contrast is not the test of choice for detecting vesicoureteral reflux (VUR). It may show the kidney scarring or atrophic or hydroureter as the results of vesicoureteral reflux. By UPTODATE: The voiding cystourethrogram (VCUG) is the test of choice to establish the presence and degree of VUR. Radionuclide cystogram (RNC) is an alternative modality.
