A member asked:

My untreated fractured bone is in an unsual position (there's a bump under my skin). if i touch around the bump it hurts. 3 months have passed since the injury and it still hurts. is it possible that there's any other injuries present? which ones?

acute inflammation and swelling with associated tenderness often persist for four months after fracture and all discomfort may take 8-10 months to resolve. Also could indicate associated soft tissue injury.

If the fracture did not heal completely, that can be a source of pain. More healing may occur, even after 3 months. But it is also possible that surrounding tissues were injured (also depending on where fracture is, and nature of the injury).
