What causes the mid-upper part of the abdomen to be pushed out and more elevated? i can't tell if this is bloating because it's constant and it never really goes back down?

Have you gained weight? It may be fat/adipose tissue.
Have a healthy diet, exercise 30 minutes/day, drink plenty of water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. For nutrition: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/.
Get HPV and Covid vaccines. Wish you good health!
