I am on accutane and plan to drink quite a bit of alcohol tomorrow night for a very special occasion. should i not take my dose tomorrow? would this be sensible? i read that the half life is approx 24 hours so is my intuition correct?

Alcohol is a poison that never did anybody any good, ever, so stay away from it. It will destroy your brain cells, damage testicular cells that make testosterone, facilitate development of cancer in many organs, cause hepatitis, cirrhosis and pancreatitis etc. There is no safe level of alcohol intake. Quit while you are ahead.

I am aware one should try to limit alcohol intake while on accutane. If i do however plan to drink a fair amount one evening, would not taking my accutane dose the day before and the day on be sufficient?
Whilst my derm has been clear in his guidance to avoid alcohol whilst on accutane, he said after about 3 days from last dose it would be safe to drink again? that is at no increased risk of damage to liver than a regular person. correct?

My derm told me I would be at the same risk as a normal person from drinking alcohol 3 days after I finish accutane. Is this correct? Some doctors on forums suggest similar time periods whilst others suggest waiting far longer?
