Ive had headaches for months and wondered if it was from low iron, ive been taking tablets. now my doctor wants me to go for an iron infusion,whats the purpose and how am i going to feel after, am i going to get dizzy from it,can i function normally?

It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. If you have low hemoglobin and it is not responding to oral iron, intravenous infusion of iron is warranted. It is generally a safe treatment. Wish you good health!
