Your not running : Again for minimum of 6-8 weeks. A cam walker boot may be recommended. You don't mention if there is any soft tissue swelling etc. It might be all hat is needed is the walking boot.

Stress Fracture: A break is a fracture is a break is a fracture! it doesn't matter whether it's a stress fracture or a micro trabecular fracture as you stated it is still considered a fracture . These are treated the same, the only difference between using plates pins wires and/or screws to fix it is the fact that the fracture is still in place. It will take 4 to 8 weeks in a weight-bearing and/or nonweightbearing cast to recover see your surgeon good luck.
