A member asked:

I think i got a tiny cut from a slightly rusted nail clipper, i don't see any blood. i had a tetanus vaccine about 2 weeks ago, another once i was 13, and another when i was a baby. so i had three doses in total. so do i need to go get another?

Tetanus shots protect for minor injuries for a total of 10 years. It is unlikely for you to have any problems with tetanus from this injury. You do not need to get another shot. Make sure you dispose of the rusty nail clipper, and get a new one to prevent future problems and worries.

You do not need another tetanus vaccine at this time; they are good for 10 years. However, I would clean the area well, apply antibiotic ointment and watch for any fever, redness, or swelling. If you develop any of those, please see your doctor.
