translation=a lengthened time in the period encompassed by the q wave on an EKG and the following T wave. It is checked on an EKG or rhythm strip with a celebrated printout. You don't do this at home unless you have the equipment and knowledge of how to measure it.

You will need an electrocardiography to be able to calculate qt interval. Best to see your doctor as it sounds that arrhythmias become possible.
