Calcium-Mg balance: Yes, calcium (ca) and magnesium (mg) influence each other in the body. Mg stimulates calcitonin, which draws ca out of the blood and soft tissues back into the bones. Mg is also needed for ca to be absorbed. Calcium excites the brain's nmda receptor; mg guards this gate & also neutralizes Adrenalin surges. You could try 250-300 mg of mg citrate powder/day -- it's better absorbed than mg oxide.
