I had spilled nail polish remover on my floor. i did my best to clean it up and air out my room. the smell persisted for about a week. is it harmful to smell or inhale it in that manner?

If it was usual size bottle 236 -400 Ml, not much should be left as it evaporates quickly. Nail polish remover is mostly acetylene so clean the surface with soap and hot water. Hope it helps.
