Speak to your primary care doctor. The risks of colon cancer come in different degrees. There are times when we would screen a young man for colon cancer but it is not common. Genetic testing can also be done.

You and your brother can be tested for genes that are associated with colon cancer. Both of you should get colonoscopy when you are 10 years younger than the age at which your father had colon cancer. Have a high fiber diet as a preventive measure. Wish you an your brother good health!
