You should know if your headaches are due to Migraine( only one half of the head hurts). General, pain medicines will work and resolve your headache. So you can try Paracetamol 1,000 mg(it may come in 2 tablets of 500mg each). This can be repeated once more if the headache is not gone completely in 4-6 hours. You should consult a headache specialist(a Neurologist) if paracetamol does not relieveit
