I'm 31 wks pregnant, and tonight had sharp pains in my left chest, kept thinking it would go away in a second but lasted almost a whole minute. heart was racing but i think just from the pain. didn't feel off any other way. wasnt heartburn. thoughts?

From your description I wouldn't consider a cardiac cause and a.lung cause, without cough,shortness of breath,increase in pain with a deep breath, is not likely either. I suspect a rib cage cause such as a pinched intercostal nerve or muscle that runs between 2 ribs. This produces sharp,fleeting chest pains. These usually resolve on their own. See your MD as needed though .
