Could be: This could be the result of trauma, grinding your teeth at night, the nerve dying in a tooth(needs root canal therapy), or some other issue. You should make an appointment with a dentist asap.

Probably Sinus: If the tooth has no visible signs of problems (chips, dark spots, etc.) chances are good that the sorenes is related to the sinus issues. If it does not improve in a day or two (as the sinuses clear) you need to have it checked by your dentist. If it has been more that 6 months since your last dental check up, you should schedule one anyway!

If exam of the: Tooth finds no fracture or decay, and, if there is no trauma history either recent or in years past, the occlusion or bite is suspect! the bite may have been an issue for some time & just now has developed noticable symptoms. A front top tooth is rarely associated w sinus issues, but top back teeth can be associated due to sinus proximity. Get a dental exam w x-ray soon.
