The burning sensation in the presence of an inguinal rash is nonspecific. Jock itch is best treated by an anti yeast or antifungal ointment(( with or without a corticosteroid to relieve associated itching) that your pharmacist can recommend. If you're already applying one, continue it as your rash is improving. Avoid tight fitting jeans&underwear. White cotton underwear is best.
