A member asked:

Can the prolonged production of estrogen in my uterus affect my fertility?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes it can. The extra estrogen can cause a "over growth" condition of the lining of the uterus called endometrial hyperplasia. Without the counterbalance effect of progesterone a "message" is sent back to the pituitary gland shutting down ovulation, thus no pregnancy.
