Depends: There are many different ways to prescribe estrogen and Progesterone for treatment of peri-menopausal and menopausal symptoms. Some women take estrogen and Progesterone every day. Others take Progesterone for only 10-15 days out of the month. Others might use Progesterone iud to protect uterus. There's no "right" answer, only what you and your doctor have decided is right for you.

Either way: Some hormone replacement products combine both estrogen and Progesterone combined. Others are provided separately. If taken individually, make sure that you get at least 10 days of progesterone/monthly to protect against endometrial cancer.
