Hidradenitis: Hidradenitis is chronic inflammation & abscess/sinus/cyst formation in hair follicles & apocrine glands of body folds, like neck, axillae, groin, perianal area. Several treatments available. Surgery can remove affected areas. Tnf Alpha inhibitors like Humira (adalimumab) help control the disease and help avoid flares, Accutane is successful in 50% in putting in remission. Stopping smoking and dairy is key.
