My periods have been very irregular with breastfeeding. i randomly took a ovulation test & it came back lh positive, 2 weeks later my period started. is there a chance that it was anovulatory cycle or did i ovulate?

Ovulation levels for LH range from 6.5 to 101, as it varies between individuals. If the ovulation test was positive, a normal period will occur 14 days later, if not pregnant, whether nursing or not.
