What is superficial punctate keratitis ? or spk ?

This is a descriptive notation of a cornea usually from dryness which has dot like surface changes in the outer layer. It can also occur with certain infections. You got this diagnosis from an eye doctor who no doubt has prescribed for you the best treatment.

The surface of the eye is chapped. Like lips, when moist they are shiny and translucent. When dry they are dusky and chapped and get microscopic cracks. Your cornea is the same way. The SPK are microscopic injuries to the surface of the eye. Step one is artificial tears 4-6 times a day, artificial tear ointment on your eyes at night and take oral omega 3 fatty acids like fish oil.
