Most breast cysts are described as COMPLEX or Simple. A simple cyst is just that, a sac of fluid. A complex cyst is a sac of fluids and solids. Those solid structures can be many different things. Sometimes fibrous tissue, scar tissue, and calcifications can be found mixed together and can sometimes mimic suspicious calcifications that are commonly seen in cancers.
