Abscess: This is a breast abscess. The treatment is oral antibiotics and also drainage of the cyst. Sometimes it won't drain completely on its own, and a doctor needs to numb the skin and make a small incision to drain it. An urgent care center is a good option.

Find out more: smelly liquid along with a sore red area in the breast might be an infection, and a cyst (particularly after lactation) might be the cause, but any unusual discharge from the nipple could mean something serious, so please consult your PCP for a referral, usually to a general surgeon.
