Yes, two separate bowel disease. IBD (Crohn or Ulcerative colitis) is not caused by bacteria but C. diff colitis is caused by the overgrowth of Clostridium Difficile which is a common bacteria in your colon but they becomes aggressive when the other normal flora of your bowel are destroyed by too much antibiotic(s).
