IBS doesn't cause true inflammation of the lining of the gi tract, bloody diarrhea,very copious mucus discharge, scarring, perforation of intestines, abcesses of the rectum, very high fecal calprotectin levels, CT scan or MRI changes, fevers,severe frequent nocturnal diarrhea attacks, anemia, or (weight loss,chronic fatigue as a rule).
