A member asked:

Hello, i am seeing faint extra images coming from the top of whatever i am looking at, which is something lighter than its surrounding (like subtitles in movie). imagine letter a with white font on s black screen i would see faint copies above it?

If you close one eye and still see double images you have monocular diplopia which is usually due to irregular astigmatism. Your ophthalmologist should be able to diagnose the cause of either monocular or binocular diplopia and advise you of treatment options such as soft or hard contact lenses, or a prism in one lens of eyeglasses.
