Your wisdom teeth do not cause bruxism... millions of people grind their teeth and they don't have any wisdom teeth. An occlusal splint will stop the wear and tear on your natural teeth and may alleviate some symptoms, but it won't magically stop you from grinding.

Bruxism has many possible causes. A tooth out of position can trigger the grinding clenching. A splint allows you to wear out the plastic rather than wearing out your teeth. Talk this over with your Dentist.
